Data management and ICT

Effective data capture, processing and management is the backbone of all successful fundraising activity. It is also an area that can seem bewilderingly complex – what data should we be trying to capture, what do we need to do to be compliant with data protection legislation, which system should we be using and how do we get what we need from it are typical of the kinds of questions that we are asked to address.

Within our team we have specialist knowledge of fundraising (and broader) database/relationship management systems, of what is required of them and what is required of you when it comes to determining what data you should be looking for and how you need to manage it for greatest impact within the legal data protection framework. We have helped some clients to unlock hugely valuable data that they had believed was inaccessible to them for fundraising purposes and helped others to capture new data through efficient and cost-effective new means.

We also offer a number of data specific products including:

  • For smaller clients with limited resources and data requirements, a straightforward access-based fundraising database with a telephone/email based back-up and support service;
  • An extremely cost-effective, web-based ‘find lost alumni’ service that can be set-up on the client’s own server or hosted by us for a small annual fee.

Here are a few of our clients for this service:
Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, the universities of Liverpool and Salford, the National Youth Orchestra, RADA, Rosslyn Chapel.
